Teacher Mom

I have completed two weeks of teaching during the day and mommying in the evening and night. I have to say that I was terrified of how hard it was going to be, and believe me it has been hard, but it isn’t as difficult as I expected.  The girls were sick for the first time during my first days at work.  My mom called to tell me she was taking Olive to the Dr. (she had already taken Georgia) and I could hear the girls crying in the background. I cried. Tony was out of town for week one, and is about to leave again (Thank goodness for my awesome mom and for my family letting her keep coming back!).  We are all surviving fussy evenings and staggering around to make bottles at 4AM knowing we have to get up again in two hours to go to work. Our house is a wreck 99% of the time and smells like a combination of spit up and a diaper pail. I go to bed every night at 9:30 with the babies, which is earlier than I’ve ever gone to bed in my life but I am soooo exhausted
